A self-generating system is a system that makes all its own parts including the parts that make the parts.

This website will explore self-generation in the abstract with visual aids such as animated GIF images. With the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words, an animated picture must be worth even more.

The term “Metabolism Repair” comes from the research of Robert Rosen who coined the expression and formulated the foundations of these ideas throughout the decades from the late 1950s through the late 1990′s with his passing.

In my explorations here, I will limit myself to seeing what can be done with building systems up from a simple process (such as c converting a into b) to end up with systems that are self-generating where all of the parts that make other parts are made in the system.

Click on the links in the top-navigation bar for more descriptions and animated images of these ideas. The website is organized according to my published papers on the subject.
